Your Happiness –words and music by Stephen O’Riley Verse 1: Your face is messed up... It’s been pounding on the floor 'cause You’re here again Back where you were before Verse 2: You swore you’d never go …back there But she’s calling you Haven’t …you had enough? Of what (all) you’ve been going through Bridge: Is it that time again? When you say goodbye to everything? Is it that time again? you know ...Your hurt’s the only lie Verse 3: You came by just the other day The same old Friend You wanted it your own way … a familiar end - You said you’d take the medicine this time Harsh, but it’s true Now… It’s in your system, And all your life is confused Prechorus: And all you are, has gone far away from you now You left the grace long before, you ever wanted more Chorus: You say it to yourself I’m not happy anymore I think I’ll go away (repeat) (You lie to yourself…) Tag: Oh… you keep on chasing But you’re never gonna find it, you know? Oh… but …you keep on running ‘Cause you could never really just sit and take it slow Your happiness, “it wasn’t all [you] ever wanted” sure… that’s true Your happiness, it wasn’t all you ever needed … and you know that’s true © 2016 Stephen O'Riley

about

This Album was written from a place of freedom, vulnerability, and in direct conflict with the "imposter spirit" which all artists face as they try to improve in their craft and discover something new in themselves. May we all keep up the fight ! ... as for this piece of work, I know it's gritty, sometimes flat, and has rough edges, but that's just fine with me. It's simply a little piece of me, some homemade goodness with all the fixins for your hearing and grooving pleasure, so please take a listen and let the words inspire you to create your own songs, poems, pictures ...or just to get up and dance for the thrill of it !... however it moves you, that' is what i'm aiming for. My name is Stephen O'Riley and I love people, my God, my family and making music with my friends...

about

Stephen O'Riley Brockport, New York

To put it simply, my style is a mixture of numerous influences; Anywhere from Glen Hansard, to the Beatles, to Ryan Adams, and contemporary worship collectives. Genre specific: think indie-folk mixed with gospel and a dose of pop-rock for good measure.
